Aggressive firefish

We have 2 firefish who have been together about 5 months. They were together all of the time. In the past week, we noticed one nipping at the other. They started living on different sides of the rock, and now one is in the corner with nips out of its tail.

You cannot have two adult Firefish together unless you have a HUGE tank.

You put that fish alone where it will alone it is free if it is with the others it feels irritating in a small tank.
