I have an african cichlid that is blue with black stripes. its about 8 cm long. i also have a tiger oscar about 15 cm long, a pleco about the same size as the african cichlid, Jack dempsey, and green terror all about 8 cm. the Bully of the tank is the african cichlid. he is the most active and he chases the pleco and dempsey and green terror around the tank all day and fin nips all their fins.
Does anybody experience the same from their african cichlid? Will this eventually lead to death?
I have a 55 gallon tank with plenty of shelters and hiding places

I pulled the African cichlid and put him in his own 10 gallon tank until I find him a knew home or feel like puttin him back in. The Dempsey and Green Terror are way more active now and come out whenever and wherever. The terror chases the dempsey around for a second, but not for long and never actually takes a bite outa him. I definately like the way all the fish are acting now that I pulled the African cichlid. I might wait until the dempsey and terror get bigger than the African, and then put the African cichlid back in and see how that works
