Air pocket for the Crab?

The easiest way is to simply lower the water level a inch or two from the top and attach some type of shelf to the side of the tank so the crab can get on it. Crabs are pretty good at getting up to the top of the tank via plants and air lines.

There are other more creative ways to do this also, but this is the simplest. If you are interested in being more creative. post that and I will post other ways.

somebody posted a few weeks ago his/her idea on how to create a diving bell type of thing for crabs to go under. An airstone would deliver fresh air to the inverted plastic/glass bowl, so the crab would always have a fresh supply of air to breathe. I think if you search the forum you can find this thread fairly easily
