Air pump question

Dear all,

I bought an air pump a month ago from petco. In the last couple days, I found out that the amount of bubble from the air stone was less than a month ago. My fish start to swim close to the water surface. What kind of air pump that I should use? Do something I should look at my air pump before I buy another?

You probably just need to clean or replace the airstone. They get clogged pretty fast.
