I currently have to air stone running on one air pump. if i turn down the pressure on both of them will it mess up the pump. i notice when i turn the pressure down it starts to vibrate a little bit longer

It won't damage them but it will make the flapper wear out faster. if you really want 2 low pressure airstones, add a third airstone and put it out of the water, this will act like a "blowoff valve" of sorts.

Hey, I've been wondering about that too- I've recently started a planted tank and it is going well so far, I hadn't planned on getting an airstone because of the CO2 escapage factor,... but I was wondering if it was totally necessary to have an airstone for the fish to get enough Oxygen, or will regular water changes suffice?

im not sure airstones are needed. i think the movement of water will supply. do you have any internal filters?

Yes I do, and it actually creates quite a current in the tank. There is a small drop between where the filtered water comes out of the filter and where it hits the top of the tank which causes the top of the water to be stirred up quite a bit- thats why I don't want to add an airstone if i can possibly help it, I think I would be losing enough Co2 as it is.
