I currently have the airstone motor on the tank. which is ok for now because there are no fish in there. I am thinking that it must sound like a jackhammer in there to a fish and will probaly cause unlimited stress on them.

So I am going to make a shelf for it to sit on before I bring any fish home.

I know an airstone is not necessary but I like the look of it and I like that it helps to oxygenate the tank. So I will keep it.

What do you do with YOUR motor thing? Am I over thinking this?
