Can't say I am surprised but I have no idea why. I bought the poor guy 4 weeks ago and he had always acted weird. He always hung out near the top of the water, hid in leaves or under rocks. For the first week he'd eat the food that made its way to the bottom. After that, I'd put the food on top of his head and he wouldn't eat it. I don't know how he lasted this long, perhaps he ate algae?

But this morning I knew he'd be gone by the afternoon. He was actually stuck to the part of the filter that stays in the water. (The tube that actually sucks the water into the rest of the filter.) I pulled him off and he swam away. When I got home later I couldn't find him. I looked all over and finally found him, or what was left of him. Most of him had been eaten by the other fish/frogs.

I'm assuming this is not normal but I didn't see any spots on the fish. Could he have been 'depressed' somehow? It's very sad.

I have two albino ID sharks that are acting funny too. Right now they are just sitting at the bottom in opposite colors. Before they were flying around the tank like mad men. The other day one was sitting near the bubble stick and just floating there, not moving at all. He was doing the same thing again today and I figured he was dead so I got the net out but as soon as I put it near him he swam to the corner.

Other than a PH that is a little on the high side, my water is perfect. I'm not sure what is wrong with these guys.
