I have a 20 gallon sw tank, have alot of algae on the back of the glass,i had a turbo snail, but he died yesterday,i was wondering would it be best to scrape the algae of the glass or go and buy more snails, and what causes snails to die,i done a 20 percent water change 2 days ago, would that caused the snail to die.

1. Get a bucket that will hold 20% of your tank
2. Fill it with RO/DI water
3. Mix salt to match specific gravity of your tank
4. Put a power head in the bucket with a heater.
5. Let it get to the same temp as your tank and let the powerhead run for 24 hours. This will let the dissolved oxygen to reach proper level and everything else should stabilize.
6. Siphon water from main tank or sump and then replace it. Make sure to turn off any equipment that must be submerged.
