i have a 30 gallon with green spotted puffers. i have had the tank up for about 7 months. the puffers are fine but i have hair algae on my live rock. i know you can get a cleaner crew in but my puffers would just attack and eat everything. so far my huge snails are fine but they arnt eating the hair algae. AND OH MY GOD now i have red algae. the rock is alive and thriving and so is the algae . is there anything i can put in there that wont be eaten? or if i staved the tank of light would the rock die too?

Well those are the main causes for unwanted algae... Invest in a few test kits (or atleast check your water at your LFS)
Are you doing water changes? how old is the tank? any pics of the algae?

so far i just have a standard saltwater test kit. i will have to find one that checks for phosphate. the tank is 7 months old. i have no ammonia nitrate or nitrites. i cant remember all the questions you asked. is there any type of cleaner that my puffers wont eat?
