Does, anyone know a easy way of getting algae off your ortiments in your fish tank. I have heard Hot water is a good and I tried. Also I know abou Algae desytorers, but i don't have any of that right,, I don't know if I'll have time to get some. So does anyone know anyother ways of getting algae off?

Algae eating fish (plecos, siamese algae eaters, otos etc) are your best bet or lower your lighting to prevent it

I've tried just using a plain sponge and wiping. A thick hand towel might also work.

Along with the above suggestions, you can also use a solution of 1 part bleach to 20 parts water, or a capful for a 3 gallon bucket. Let them soak for 30min to an hour, then rinse them in hot water. Most types will come right off with little scrubbing. Black beard algae might require rubbing with your fingers.

What Avalon said. I will add that you can soak bleached items in a strong solution of dechlorinator to remove any residual bleach.
