alge problem

hi people sorry spelling keybord is broke i have a 30g tank wit one rbp in it but i cant get rid of the alge i wash it off and do 50%water change evry week but it keeps coming back how can i get rid of it any help would great thanks guys/girls

If it's green algae look at how much daylight your tank is getting. Too much daylight will contribute to an algae problem. Also test your water. If nitrates are staying high that will contribute to algae problems as well.

thanks ill test water now and my tank gets no daylight at all could it be the lighting in the tank do you think

Is it green or brown algae? What kind of lighting do you have? Also test your tap water. Post up your test results for both.
