I just tested my water Everything is good Nitrate is 0 , Nitrite is 0, Ph 6.8 But the Alkalinty is 40 which the strip says is low is this a big problem? I did a 50% water change last night all fish are fine just not sure what this is.
Alkalinity is part of pH, pH tests acidity and alkalinity. If your pH is 6.8, its slightly acidic, so alkalinity would be low. Nothing to worry about, I don't think any of your fish woulld mind pH 6.8.
