what are the parameters of alkalinity in a Malawi cichlid tank?
is there any articles that show what all the paremeters are suppost to be ph,amonia,nitrates, etc....

Total hardness 4.0 to 6.0 dH
Carbonate hardness 6.0 to 8.0
temperature 76 to 85F
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate <20


hardness can be a bit off

my tanks are

pH - 7.8
kH - 5
gH - 12

what about alkalinity.,.is that a factor or not ?
