few questions all at once:
1. i have heard some bettas are incompatible, what does this mean exactly? (ect. they won't mate; they mate but will produce no offspring....)

2. my betta tank are having a algae bloom, but what really worries me is that i saw tiny white worms crawling on the glass where algaes are also growing.  anyone know what they are? harmful to fish?

3. i collected driftwoods, washed them, bleeched them, washed them again.  How was the anchor (cement plate) that keeps the wood at bottom made? some tips...plz

i know i am asking for alot, but just too lazy to put up separate posts.

I do not know bettas so I cannot answer #1 and #2.

I can do #3

the anchor that is commonly used on aquarium store driftwood is a small piece of slate, with a hole drilled in it, and a screw.   into the driftwood.   put some silicon over the screw head, so it won't ruse, let it dry and throw it in your tank.

you can also use small pieces of granite (for example pieces of broken marble counter top etc) but it might be hard to drill this.

Answer to no. 2
The white worm on the glass are snails and they are harmless.
With a little marine salt or kosher salt, cutting down on overfeeding and they will go away.
Solution to no. 3
Use the bottom of a plastic plant pot, the plate or dish attach a screw to hold them together. Use your gravel weight to hold down the driftwood by filling the plate.
The other way is to buy suction cups from Home Depot and tie them on with fishing line. Suction it to the bottom of your tank attach to the wood.
Good luck

pooky,
don't worry, i don't plan on using the woods anytime soon.  i have soaked them in light bleech, i will soak them in water for 2 or 3 weeks, cook them again.
