I was researching ways to control algae and read up on Amano Shrimp. I was thinking these seemed like a great idea until I read the recommendation for 1-2 per gallon?! I have a 150! I can't have 75 shrimp in my tank LOL What's realistic? I also have 2 plecos and 5 clown loaches... just looking for some help with the hair-type stuff that the plecos aren't interested in.

American flagfish are always good. But they can become very aggressive. They might not be the best choice however if you can find True SAEs, they will get the job done.

BTW Welcome back! I havent seen you around at all!? :D

Thanks!

I was working 7d/w for a bit, good to be back and trying to take care of my tank. Ugh, most of leafed plants are ugly and I'm not sure why, probably just need to trash them and re-stock.

I'll look for "true SAEs" - how many is good? 5? more?

I am thinking about importing about 900 amano shrimp and red cherry shrimp. If i do i can give you a good price on them if you want a lot of these little guys
Cool, let me know. I think my fishtank mates wouldn't eat them and I definitely have a hair algae issue going on right now, ick. I need another load of plants, too, so I could do a big order of those from you as well, that'd be cool. I need to just pull out a bunch of my plants and start over I think. I have some leafy ones, cherry something, and all the old leaves are covered and shredded. :( And my Amazon Sword may not make it, we'll see.
