What is the deal with these flag-fish, my LFS has had them for months, they just look boring, green and grey. They cant get rid of them so they are selling them for dirt cheap. Do they eventually display better colors? What are they like? What are their requirements? What are some other fish that they can go with in a 10g tank?

They should color up with age...

I can't do them justice by trying to remember everything I've read about them. They are a member of the killifish family, and the best source for info I've found is the American Killifish Association at http://www.aka.org. They proclaim that the killifish family can be the most colorful of the freshwater fish, and from what I've seen of pictures, they may be right!

Another question, I was thinking about making my tank into one of the following

pair of blue rams

dwarf gourami

Killifish (American Flag-Fish)

I want something with a lot of personality as well as color, what do you guys think?
