Has anyone ever used this product?
AquaClear 30-Ammonia Remover

It was on sale today at the lfs so I picked one up. Figured it can't hurt. But I thought I run it by you experts and see what you thought....

Let me know if I can try it out or if I wasted $1.99....

Thanks!

It probably will work and do a good job... I am not sure what effect it will have on the cycling bacteria in your tank (it may starve them of food). Also, as long as your tank is cycled you shouldn't really need it right? :) If it were me I would hold onto it until you get a big spike in ammonia, or something goes wrong and your cycle is thrown off or whatever.

Hmmm.. for $1.99 I'll hold onto it...Hope I never need it, but you never know..

My ammonia has been at .25 ppm the last few water changes. Not high, but perhaps I am not changing enough water....

Thanks ishar

i was using it when my ammonia levels were high.. didn't seem to help.. actually after i took it out and allowed the tank to cycle on its own.. the ammonia dropped by itself.. if your ammonia is too high.. water changes is the way to go
