anemone problems i need help

Ok having a anemone that becomes a pumpkin is that bad? It was in the tank for about 4 hours then I turned the Lights off and it went into a pumpkin like ball is This Bad?????? Im desperate please help me It wont come out and now its shriveling

Anemones are weird creatures, I had a pink tip anemone once (when I first started SW and didn't know any better) and it used to shrivel up sometimes and I thought the thing was dead then the next day he was fine. I ended up taking it back to my LFS because I was not prepared or experianced enough at the time to keep it. I remember sometimes it would shrivel up kinda like what your saying when it caught somthing to eat. I don't think it's anything to worry about, but I would see what others have to say that are more experianced with anemones.

By the way what kind is it?

what type of lighting do you have? how did you acclimatize it? what are your water parameters?

usually anemones like to float around the aquarium until they find a nice spot.

one good peice of advice i can give you is to cover up those powerhead intakes! no matter how far away your anemone is from the powerhead when you go to bed, you can still wake up to find the anemone stuck in the powerhead.
