The gold one is actually silver, the flash just turned her gold (I want it to be a her, so until I find out otherwise, she is). She's my fav as well. The coolest thing about her is she has stress bars (at least I think that's what they are). If you look at the pic you can see very faint bars of silver running up and down her body; sometimes they turn black!
Yes Angels can change their Bars from silver to black. I dont know if they are stress bars or not. I have 2 Angels 1 with stripes and 1 that 1/2 body will change depending on what is going on, from Silver to black. My Bros angel will do the same thing. Pale when seeking food, and black when you play with him through the glass with your finger.

Yup, that's what mine does. At first, I thought it was stress bars, as well, but he seems to change when there's nothing to stress him. I think maybe they're more like mood bars. When he's stressed or really happy or excited, then they change.
btw, Silver Dollars, the 4th angel is there with the rest. If you look very closely you can see the tip of his mouth peeking out from behind them.
