my young angelfish is losing is black stripes.
I know that this is probaly to do with stress but i was wondering if anyone else has had the same problems and how they solved it?
actually, if the black stripes are fading thats usually a sign that the fish is NOT stressed. Those are stress bars and they show up for various reasons but they usually are not good ones per say. As long as the rest of the fish is not changing colors I think he is fine.
I have an angel that does the same thing. Its a beautiful fish when its stripes are black, but they often fade to a light gray, usually when there is someone in the room making motion. I wouldnt worry about it.
Do you happen to know what kind of Angels (like what strain) the parents are? It could be that it is losing a juvi coloration and gaining a new color form or patteren.
my silver sharks color faded a couple of days ago but today i noticed there getting there color back.
The person from my aquarium shop said that some angels lose there stripes and some don't ...that it depends on the parents. True?
