Are angelfish normally social fish towards humans? My angelfish seems to have the craziest personality, any time i'm near the tank he will shudder and follow me along the glass no matter where i go, he'll be on that side of the glass, kind of bouncing against and around the area i'm at, and if I move, he'll follow me there...

are they normally like this? Thanks!

I know all the ones that I have seen in friend's tanks as well as mine that I've had for a month are. Whereas my dwarf puffers lazily follow me in curiousity, my angel is dead set on following me around the tank in determination. He will bump or nip others in his way trying to follow me and see what I'm doing. Even during cleanings he has to right there. It's wild. I believe he is the king of my tank for now putting all the tetras, gourami, and puffers in line! :)

Angels aren't the only ones. My goldfish do the same thing. When I sit at the computer next to their tank, all eight of them have to be pushed up against that corner near me. They're just trying to look cute so I feed them.

And when I sit down in front of my tropical tank, the convict ciclid comes right to the front of the glass and stares me down.

all fish eventually do it if you feed them about the same time every day they will get to recognise you and follow you around for food, but some smarter and superior fish will do it more-all my fish do it, they all race to the front top of the tank, mouths open and eating air untill food goes in thier mouths, of course some of my fish follow me like a dog, especially my fighting fish! :)
