Hello i'm new here and have a few questions.
First off I have fish now koi's in a 55 gal tank.
I just got 30 - 40 gal tank with pretty much everything needed to get it started. I want to put angelfish in it. I have cycled the tank. However the ph is still at about 7.8. From what I have read ton wiki is the need the ph to be around 6.8 or something like that. I have also read a number of times that the ph does not really matter as long as it does not make big changes. Is that true with angelfish?
What are some other things besides ph I need to look for in the water while dealing with angelfish?
What are some other good fish to put in with angelfish? I am not sure if I am going to get two or three angelfish. What would be a good amount of fish to put in a 30 - 40 gal tank. The filter is not the greatest but it will have to work until I can marineland magnum 350. I am running one of those in my koi tank it is great.
Thanks for the help.
Mike
