angelfish with white dot

i posted the same message under the cichlid forum. i came home to my angel and she has a white dot thingy on her side. it looks like a polyp or something. i need to know pretty soon what to do for her and even if this is what is wrong with her. if anyone can help that would be fantastic. i have to go back to college tomorrow so i gotta tel lmy mom what to do. thanks!!

does it look like a grain of salt (ich) or is it bigger and look cloudy or fuzzy?

when in doubt, i treat with salt (1 tbl per 5 gallons), melafix and extra stress coat and its worked for me...freshwater coppersafe by mardel works well for ich, i also treat with salt at the same time and leave the salt in for a few weeks afterwards...vaccuming the gravel more often would help if it is ich because during part of its life cycle it lives in the gravel

thats not too say that you shouldnt try to find out exactly what your fish has and treat accordingly...but if you cant find out whats going on with her it would be a good place to start imo

If you could describe the dot better, it would help (size, shape, color, fuzzy or smooth, whether it's growing etc.)
