I have a 30 gallon tank set up and ready to go, right now i have 2 cardinal tetra's, 2 bleeding heart tetra's, 4 cory's and 2 platies.
I have been looking into getting 2 honey gouramis and recently discovered how amazing angelfish are.
I was wondering if I had 2 honey gouramis and 2 angels would they get along?
Thanks

i keep 2 golden gouramis and 2 angels together and they get on fine other than when the angels lay eggs then they get a bit nasty. Although if you're putting angelfish in there be warned they get big and sometimes nasty towards smaller fish, i can't keep cardinals and other little tetras in there because they are just continually chased. Plus cardinals and bleeding hearts like to be in bigger schools of 5/6, you may not see this as a problem now but if you introduce a new threat to them it may stress them out just a little too much.

I've found that the "semi-agressive" category of fish and how they get along with other fish varies among each one, someone might tell you they wouldn't get along whereas i say they would.

i had four angels with a gold gourami and two dwarf gourami, they never seemed to bother the angels or vice versa...

...the angels fought amongst themselves and the gouramis would take turns playing "tag"with each other though hehe.:D

Hi there LIB! Personally, I wouldn't mix the two. The Angels can be fin nippers and those Honey Gouramis can be as well so you may just wind up with a case of nipped fins constantly. I would get one or the other.

Oh and also, I'd highly suggest you get a few more cardinals and more bleeding heart tetras, they are the most colorful and active in groups. Plus it makes them feel more secure when they're in groups.

Until angels think of breeding they wont b a threat to gouramis. I've seen people going with angels and pearl gouramis for a long time w/o any prob.
I've got a full grown pair of breeding angels. The male is very agressive that he can chase a green terror out of his territory and could potentially swallow a minnow or a tetra. Even he doesn't seem to be a fin nipper.
