Angels Eaing plants

Are angels known for eating plants. All this mourning I have notice my angel chowing down on all my aponogetons. Is this normal.
           Also ive noticed that he is scared to eat sometimes and wont go to the surface to eat. Is this also unusual, if so what can i do to get him to eat food at the surface.

It sounds like he's just hungry. Is he the runt of the pack? Do you notice him being bullied a lot? I have a discus like that. What I did was start feeding on one side of the tank. When the aggressive / fat discus zoomed over there to chow down on the food raining down on their fishy heads, I snuck the little guy some bloodworms unbeknownst to the others.

well i only have two backdraft. he really isnt being bullied just shy. the other one is a pig ang bites all the food. though with the problems wont eat in front of me, he just sits there untill i leave.
