What fish should not go with an angel fish? (teteras?) Whats the average size angels get?

So, I would suggest large tetras, silver dollars, catfish and peaceful cichlids.

Angels can go with a variety of other fish. Many times is depends on the temperment of the angel and other fish. On the over all front I would not get any fish that tends to be nippy. I have found harly rasboras and hatchets to be very good with angels. I have also kept gouramis with them, but I had a bad experiance with a dwarf gourami and an angel with the dwarf being very agressive. So maybe with gouramis it a hit and miss thing...

I agree with ScubaSteve, peaceful cichlids and corys do great with angels.

Thanx for the replies, I didnt see that thread some of the stories sound horrible. Do angels usually get to 6 inches?

my sngels used to be bullied by my gourami but then they grew bigger than him so he stayes out of their way now. also anything like mollies platty's etc get on fine with my two angels

Yes, 6 inches is thier adult size. But like anything else if given the room they can get bigger. I have seen angels bigger then 6in.

However, I have witnessed some odd growth rates with angels . Some will sprout like a weed and some will seem to dwarf or grow very slow, even if kept in the same tank..

i have angels and gourami's together and they seem to get along well..i also have a few neon tetras with them..left over from a 20 gallon i had and they've all been living happily for months now..the angels are getting huge and they still dont pick on the neons..
