with all this talk about angel fish, what is the minimum tank requirement for a angel fish? Are there such things as dwarf angels that will stay small and could possibly stay in a smaller tank?

Thanks, Thought i would check. I am thinking about getting like a 2 gallon or something small like that. Probably gonna get a betta, or maybe if a school of tetras would fit. Probably not in a 2 gallon.

No dwarf gouramis or tetras in a 2g...thats just way too small. A betta would be the only fish I'd recommend and even a 2g is pushing it.

I believe the minimum tank for an angel would be 29g and that would be for either 1 angel and tetras, cories, etc....or for a pair by themselves (for breeding). For more than one angel in a community tank, I'd go with a 40g minimum. Angels get very big...about 6-7 inches tall and about 5-6 inches long, maybe bigger. Thats a big fish!
