Angery blue ninja betta

Just a quick question my new betta is in constant "fighting pose" where his fins are erect and his gils are puffed (I cant describe it very well) I know they do this sometimes but he seems to be doing pretty close to every 2 seconds I put a background on the tank to cut reflections and there is plenty of plants does anyone know why he is always doing this?

I have a betta that does this all the time when I move him into a new tank. He's just establishing new territory I think. I would keep the lights off (or dim) where the tank is and give him a day or two to adjust.

How new is he?

Is he alone in the tank? My Juju (rip) started that too with my swordtails. Then I got him a female (don't do that or someone will get mad at you ) and he did it to her. But they were fine. I agree with tabmorte.

he's only been in his new tank for 4 or 5 days and he's the only one in the tank.....I worry about dimming or shuting off the lights tho since the tank is planted

Just leave him for a while. Maybe he'll calm down.
