What am I doing wrong???  The other loach that I described as the most active one, died last night.  Here are my tank specs and some numbers I took this morning, maybe this will help:

Tank: 20gal

Filter: Penguin 170 Bio-Wheel

Water mover thingy (for lack of a better term): Penguin 550, w/ spout pointing downwards and oxygen in stream

Heater: 100watt TopFin, temp is around 80

Total Hardness: 120

Total alkalinity/buffering capacity: 80

pH: inbetween 7.4 and 7.6

Ammonia: 0 (cycled tank)

Nitrites: 0 (cycled Tank)

When I looked at his body, it appeared grayish in color when last night it's colors were very bright.  Thats all I can see.   :'(  :'(  :(

Gosh - what a stroke of bad luck.

I have read that clowns are suseptible to ich.  And I have heard that there is a type of "invisible ich" - where there won't be any white spots on the fish.  Sometimes fish just seem to up and die for no obvious reason.  Who knows?

Yes - the test results are good to post.  The big fish can take a look and give informed opinions.  The only test I didn't see was nitrAte... or am I blind?

And I think your "water mover thingy" is a power head.

Yea, power head.  I had a brain fart....thanks.   ;D

I don't have a test kit for nitrAte.  I didn't think it was nessasary since I was told and have read that after Ammonia and nitrIte go to 0, then add fish.  Am I wrong???

Oh yea, I think that they are dieing because they are not eating.  The last one is active and moving around now, where he used to be hidden all the time.  I went back to the lfs and told them what happened, and asked what they fed the fish and the lady told me shrimp pellets.  I bought some, he doesn't seem interested in those either.

On loaches.com I read that you can offer a loach a live worm and that can entice them to eat..... read about that http://www.loaches.com/cloachfaq.shtml and tell me what you think.

ph is a little high...but clowns can be very tricky...i went thru quite a few before I had any success...be selective when purchasing (which can be very difficult, they can be hard to net )..and buy the biggest, & thickest ones they have...mine luv shrimp pellets..but they have eaten everything else i throw at them as well...mine go from black to gray all the time...i feel bad for ya...clowns are the best when healthy!!!!

oh yeah what else is in the tank..
