having some problems with my ebo jagers...

ok so i made a thread earlier about the uncertainty of the automatic shutoff and what not. basically, i have two ebo jager heaters. 1 250 w and 1 200 w for a 90 gallon tank. what happens is that, sometimes the tank gets heated and sometimes it doesnt. the heaters are very random, and often times push the cord and pull it a little from the top of the tank for the orange light to come on. does anyone have this problem?

Maybe the tank is getting heated, but im not there when the orange light is on? is there a way i can keep both heaters on at the same time?

sometimes both of the heaters turn off, and they dont turn on for awhile. Then i touch the water and it feels to cold for the fish, to the point where its not a healthy temperature for the fish.i keep the temperature at 79 on both. i tried turnin the dial one knotch down on one of them, `cause that's what someone suggested.

just curious if not both of them are heating, should one be on the whole time? i mean the orange light. should the orange light be on 24/7 on at least one of the heaters?

or could it be a submerging issue? the 250 W heater says "do not immerse past this line" and the 200 W heater says "min water level here."

quite confusing. i dont see any cracks or defects on the heaters. I just don't want to go through the hassle of checking the temperature all the time. i check it like every hour when im home, because im afraid the heaters orange lights arent turning on. any suggestions or comments? help!!

imagine the heater in your house being on 24/7..... not a good idea.

what is the temp of your tank, according to the thermometer. not your heaters... please tell me you have one. And if you do have one, and its stuck to the ouside glass, than peel it off and go buy a real one... IMMEDIETLY

each of your heaters has its own thermostat, and heats according to its accuracy combined with your manual setting, so no its almost impossible to have them heat at the exact same time every time.

BTW. living in CA you probably have a nice warm house..... and warm house = warm fish tank = infrequent heater operation!!

Well I just ordered 2 150 watt Ebo-Jager heaters for my 37g tank. I hope it works. I know 300 watts for a 37g sounds like overkill (and it probably is), but I have 1-150 watt in there now and cannot get the temp above 74 (and this is the 3rd heater I tried). The tank is in a room that's pretty cold in the winter. I figure when it starts to get warmer, I can just turn off one of the heaters and fire it back up next winter. Besides, for the price, how could I go wrong.
