Another Jewel Cichlid Q

Ok so my other female jewel cichlid decided to lay eggs and the other male wanted to fertalize them. So in 2 days they will hatch, and i am wondering if i take the cave that the eggs are on out of the tank and put it into a bucket of regular tap water and if they will survive????????

Why? Why take them out? Any reasoning?

well i think cause allot of cichlids protect their fiy and aggs they should be ok but i mite be wrong c-man will have a better answer
