I'm sorry but in your tank..none.

A 29 is not a suitable home for 1 Oscar let alone 2. A properly fed Oscar can and should grow close to an inch a month until reaching nearly a foot. 2 shoved into a 29 is a disaster waiting to happen. Territory issues will in the end leave you with 1 stunted Oscar and NOTHING else in that tank.

Take those fish back, and see what else you like. There are plenty of other fish out there that will bring life to your tank, and allow you to stock more fish than you currently have. Research anything before buying it. And no to the Bala also, they are known as tank busters because of how large they get.

You don't have to stick to tetras, there are fish that get a decent size that are great for a 29.

Rainbows, Gouramis, Rasaboras, German blue rams...just to name a few.
