I should remake my name "WalMart Saint"! Anywho..

They had lil goldfish in with cichlids. Not feeders, mind you, the selling ornamental kind.

I saved them, but theyre pretty tore up. Two of them. One has its fins totally shredded, one fully missing, another has fins messed up and only one eye.

I have no other tank to put them in (i refused to put them in with my 20 gal, and my ten gal cichlids ould eat them alive)...so theyre in a jar with cycled water for the time being.

Advice on how to keep these poor guys alive?

go see the thread diy pond and start your own.screw that i would never put some dirty ass goldfish with my wonderful tropicals, not that goldfish are bad but that's a big risk, not the kind i would take.instead of saving fish from wal-mart why not tell doomhed and see if things get better.and for the record some wal-marts have very nice fish sections ususaly untill the manager pisses of the employee and they quit

One of the wal-marts near me, is passable, the other is Gorgeous they must have someone who knows what they are doing in that one, (although) I never see them, the tanks are in perfect condition, The fish are with who they are suppose to be with, and they are inexpensive.
Grade A to the walmarts in the deep south of Calgary, AB

Now if only I could find some one to scoop those fish for me.

My Wal-Mart is decent. Beautiful tanks in beautiful condition with beautiful fish. Their only problem is that their collegeish employees take forever to catch the fish. These parents and their kids were waiting for a half hour for a girl to catch them some neons, and finally they just said, "Screw it, we'll go to PetsMart."
