Just curious as to what other fish I can add with my cichlids...the 6 we have are all milawi, and my wife really really likes the dolphin cichlids(Cyrtocara moorii "hap moorii" (Blue Dolphin)) and the parrot cichlids.
Is it possible to add cichlids from other lakes into our 55gal tank?

Thanks

very possible.

but you need to research and make sure that you can provide the correct diet, and teritories for all the types you will have, as well as enough space for everyone.

Normaly the diet is the biggest constraint.

Yes its possible. ^

What malawi species do you have in there already? I like the Cyrtocara moorii myself too. They get a nice blue/purple color when adults. Only problem you might encounter with these is that they can get rather large. I do like that they are "opportunistic feeders" to some extent like my favorite hap Placidochromis electra. They follow other species around in the wild and eat the scraps or food that the others don't want, thus they arn't into hunting your other fish.

We have 2 yellow labidochromis, 2 pseudotropheus zebras/kenyi's, and 2 OB peacocks. So nothing too big or too aggressive.
