Any tanks less than 10 inches wide?

Hello all,

I am trying to fit an overflow tank under an aquarium stand (in a space about 10" wide and 21" long). I tried an all-glass 10 gallon, but the damn thing is a little bit too wide due to the black frame. I know a standard 5-gallon will work, but I'd like something a little larger if possible...

I have considered tupperware, but I haven't been able to find anything that would fit my needs.

Thanks in advance,

- mb

Think I could take off the black frame off the 10 gallon without any problems?

I have looked through the rubbermaid items at my local walmart, but I couldn't find anything that would work out.

I don't think I want to make my own...though I do have some acrylic and sealant laying around. I'll probably just buy a 5 gallon and leave it at that.

Thanks,

- mb

Its a 20 gallon (high) tank, but has been set up as a paludarium (2/3 water, 1/3 land). Because of this, there is only about 7 gallons of water in the tank when it is full...

Since I'll be stocking with a newt, I'll like some more water volume...so if the newt farts, the whole tank won't suffer.

The good news is that the tank has a good surface area compared to volume and pretty good aeration/filtration. I was hoping to double to volume...but, its not looking like it'll happen unless I custom build the overflow tank.

I'll check out walmart's tupperware/rubbermaid section one more time...
