Any thoughts on the Cascade 700?

I just recently upgraded my saltwater tank. I purchased a cascade 700 for half the price of others, wondering what your thoughts are on that brand. Also, it came with a little water on the inside, is that normal or does that mean it was returned to the store and I bought it "used?" Any insight on this brand would be nice, including "noise" cleaning, etc.

Not sure what a Cascade 700 is? is this a skimmer? filter? not sure so can't be of much help. If new it shouldn't have water in it.

I think that one is a Canister by Pen Plax.

And it really should be dry if new. Who knows though, the store may have set it up just as a test so it could be fine.

If it is the canister, normally they aren't recommended for SW applications. Really though it depends on your application, and what you are running in it for media. No matter how you cut it though, VERY regular maintenance would be needed to clean out all the crud the filter would catch to prevent it from turning into nitrates (among other things).
