anyone else not like the new ac series?

Well, I bought an additional filter for my 55 gallon, to make it 10x/hr. I decided to match the ac 300 with a new ac 30-50 (i am pretty sure that is the mathching size). Well they both worked well for a month and the new one (not the one 8 years old!) stopped working. The impeller had actually jammed itself but there was nothing in it. I took it apart (with a pair of needlenose pliers it was jammed so bad) and cleaned it. Finally after MUCH cleaning it started working again. has anyone else run into issues with the "new" ac's?

I have an AC 300, and it works great, I haven't found a thing wrong with it so far. I have only had it for a couple of months, so I guess time will tell.

oops i mis-posted earlier, I had an ac 300 for 8 years and just got the new 50-70.

I've got a tetra whisper 60 on my 20 gallon, pumps 300 gph. Even though it has more than enough filtration, it works very well
