I'm not sure if this should go in the predatory section, or the bottom feeder section - so I put it in both. Well, I just got a violet goby (also sold as dragon fish) and was wondering if anyone else has had luck keeping them. I have read lots of conflicting information (like with most fish) about their proper care. Do they require salt? And if so, will my tiger barbs be able to withstand the same amount of salt he needs? I have gotten him to eat, which is a challenge since violet gobies are scavengers that are almost entirely blind. And with a 5" pleco and 3 clown loaches in the tank, frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp. I had to distract the other fish with a tubifex cube while i fed the goby a bloodworm cube. Im not worried about the amount of food too much, since they are in a 90 gal tank. If you have any suggestions to make my goby happy, send them my way.
