this is the hood i bought at petco and was thinking about changing the bulb to a higher color and maybe buying some stoff to diy it

For what size tank?
Typically standard bulbs are as follows:
20"/24" = 15W
36" = 30W
48" = 40W

I think those are usually standard 20W. Although sometimes, it can be a 30" hood with a 24" bulb.

beh ill buy a good 20w then they should make em to take at least 30watts >.>

if you want higher powered tubes then you gotta go with VHO, but i still think that PC is better.
