API Supe Ick Cure seems to have worked

I did two treatments over the course of 8 days, with huge water changes between treatments and after. Kept the water temp as high as it would go for me @ ~84F. Currently day 10 and appear to be ick free.

The malachite green didn't stain anything in my tank, but it does turn the water very green. A new filter cartridge packed with carbon cleared the remaining green right up.

No more fish losses either *knock on wood*. 10 neons, 5 blood-fins, 4 corys and pearl as the kids call him. Have a black an now a golden mysery snail in there too.

I'm hoping this was a long-term success.

Awesome, well done. I'm on day 5 of straight heat on the 30g. Temp steady at 88. Hopefully the danios can take it.

I think the main thing is, I caught it when maybe 4 neons out of 20 fish total in the tank had some white spots. It's probably one of those things where if you don't catch it early, it's too late.

During this time I did catch the flashing phenomenon too. Some of the effected neons would flick themselves against the edge of a piece of rock. One of the corys was doing it too, even though I never saw any spots on it.

Ich in some cases only affects the gills due to there sensitivity. When my cichlids got it, the only reason I new was because of the flashing.

That was part of the active ingredients in the API Super Ick Cure.

Good to know. I used Nox Ich, didn't like it.
