Different genus. Seen slides, never seen the fish.
Big tip on apistogramma. They're found all the way down the E side of the Andes to the coast, so that's a big range of conditions. They have been found at water with 2 degrees centigrade to mid 30's and from pH 3 to 8. There are no such thing as typical apistogramma conditions. Admittedly most follow some general, typical patterns , but the type localitys for peruvian Upper Amazon fish are quite different from the blackwater conditions of Ap. nijssenni or panduro as two typical examples.
I believe Apistogrammoides are from a near coastal belt, so I'd guess moderate temperatures, pH and hardness.
