I have just brought an Aqua One AR 980 as I want to keep tropical fish again after not having a tank for some years - so consider myself a 'newbie' again - so sorry if this is a silly question.
The tank has a trickle filter built into the hood in 3 compartments starting at the left and then the water returns into the tank at the right end. The filter motor is quiet with a filter bar going across the filter pads is working fine - but where the water returns back into the tank it is louder than I thouht it would be - as if you have pulled a plug out of a sink - which seems to be amplified when I put the hood cover back on. I have filled the tank right up and adjusted the tube level to the bottom of the water compartment but still no joy in reducing the sound of the water returning. Am I doing something wrong / or do I need anything else? Any Advice would be great!
