Aquamaster 600 HOB Refuge ?

Well i Seen a (Oldschool) aquamaster 600 for $32 dollars new (ebay) . Is it a big HOB filter ? Is it bigger than a aquaclear 110 ?

The aquamaster is half the price ,has anyone used one as a HOB refuge MOD?

Also it says it pumps air buble into the intake water for beter filtration . can i stop the air if i wanted to ?

What do you guys think ? Thanks

Here is a pic of the unit . I think it would work good . It is 15" long 4 inchs deep and 8 inchs long pretty big .

Only concern can i stop the injection of air bubles ?
