So I just got a 24 gallon aquapod with the florescent lighting. Right now I am using it for a FW tank but I have plans to use it for a SW reef setup in the future. I have no clue what I am doing with saltwater, especially corals, so I need some help. The bulbs I have on it right now are compact florescent dual actinic 460 and 420 nm, and 10,000 and 6700 dual daylight bulbs. The total wattage is 64W. I'm figuring that by the time I get the live rock in and the sand the corals shouldn't be any more than maybe 10-12 inches from the lights and I will have maybe 16-20 gallons of water in it. I've looked on the web and I couldn't find any bulbs that are more powerful than that, that would fit in the fixture that came with the aquapod. Will, these bulbs be good enough to keep any sort of corals and if so what kind would I be able to keep?

you could probably keep mushrooms and some polyp type corals. Also a few soft corals and xenia types......I have a small finger leather and toadstool in my 20g under about 65 watts. Just make sure they are near the top.
