Aquarium temp

I got my tank all set up and right now the temp is between 76 and 78. Is that warm enough? I am transfering my fish from a 20 gallon to 55 gallon. The temp in the 20 is 82 right now. Will putting them in the cooler water put a lot of stress on them? If so how long will it take a 250 heater to raise the temp up in a 55 gallon?

Depends on what kind of fish you have. Between 76-78 is generally good for tropicals, however 82 is a bit warm...perhaps knock the heater on the 20 down a few degrees? That way they'll be at the same temp.

I have 1 blood parrot 1 Severum & 1 Brasiliensis.

I think as long as you acclimate them slowly it will be fine... But yeah for the time being start by lowering the 20 slowly
