Aquariums for Dummies??

Anyone ever read this book? I was thumbing thru it at the bookstore.. and its not very friendly to cichlids.
It list them at the one the worst mistakes to make.

I thought it was funny... The only fish I ever hated was a danio..

I bought the Salt Water Aquariums for Dummies....

It has a lot of good info for beginners, but it can be a bit biased to the Author's fish preferences......

People are scared of what they don't understand.

I don't know if i would put them down so harshley, but many aren't for the new keeper, so i can kinda see why they would want to warn them, but again, probably not in that way.

Yeah, two of the beginners biggest mistakes are
1-overstocking
2-creating fish stew, ie not checking compatiblity of fish

prolly why the book advises against the cichlids. Although I have that book and I don't recall it being nasty about cichlids.
