Are Gold Rams pretty rare?

I saw a gold ram at petco and he was in perfect condition and I was just wondering are they pretty rare to find or does this just happen to be the first time I saw one. I didn't know much about them so I didn't buy him

ive seen them a few times here in the uk. but not very often.

I would say that any Ram Cichlid is rare. Not quite sure but i know we don't find them around here hardly any. We have just now started seeing Kribs.

it depends on where you live.i can get all the popular rams bolivian,blue,and gold.the gold ram is just a line breed blue ram that was selected for it's lack of blues.blue ram/gold ram same fish.

I see blue rams alot a petco and at my lfs aqua seriene.

I saw rams once in a LPS. I was sooo tempted to buy them. The tank I wanted them for was just cycled, and I wanted to make sure everthing was fine. At $9 each I didn't want to risk them dying. I hope I will see them again some day

The rams at my store was $5 but all I knew about them was that I needed to learn more about them*laughingc .

well rams are really sensative. they like acidic water. a pH of around 6.00

once again,ph isn't nearly as much an issue as water quality.i keep healty rams at a ph of 7.8
