Are my Poor Frogs Murderers?

I set up a 10 gallon AGA about 3 weeks ago. I moved my African dwarf Frogs into it after it was up and running. I bought some live plants for the aquarium which brought two guppies with them (they must have been in the tank I got the plants from.) They were just really small fry. I went on a vacation for a week and the person that was fish-sitting for me said she could only find 1 guppy. And she was right one had disapeared. Two days later the second guppy disapeared. When I put food in the tank they would always go after it right away, I've tried putting food in the tank, but they aren't there. Now there were no traces of dead fish and my frogs seem to be the only other suspects. I used to have them in a two gallon hex with a baby oto, and they never bothered him. Should I move them back into my two gallon or should I risk adding more fish to my 10 gallon with them in it? Do you think my frogs killed the fish? or was it a natural death? Thanks for any help!

Are you sure it's an African Dwarf Frog? I had one in my tank and the only thing it killed was the Ghost Shrimp but never went after any of my guppies. If any fish stayed at the bottom of the tank long enough it might have bothered it, but it's mouth wasn't big enough to fit any fish in it. I'm guessing it may be another type of frog and if so, I'd say it did eat them, I just don't know the name of the frog currently.

If they were small fish like you say, the frogs more than likely did eat them.  Shouldn't be a problem adding more fish, if, like mantis said, they are true African dwarfs.  Our frog has never harrassed any other fish.  He's quite docile and content to linger about on the bottom looking for scraps.  We would only recommend adding larger fish.  Fry can become food for anything.

Any chance the fish died and then the frog ate the remains??? I dont know ive never had a frog but it seems natural for almost all fish to eat the dead ones on the bottom.. Any chance they got sucked up the filter had that happened to my puffer once, not a pretty site, or if they jumped out and are now behind the tank, I have that happen too.... You see it all once you’ve had a tank for 9yrs.  Sorry about the loss...
