ahhh yes the ballooon recesive trait... Why dont silly humans just stop.

Take a pack wolves and in breed them many many generations... first noticeable physical changes .... the ears drop and the tail drops and markings become similart to many shepherding dogs. keep inbreeding and you get a unique wolf with dog like qualities...

Same thing happens to fish.... take fancy goldfish or balloon mollies for example.... soon as you over-breed them they get plump and bouyant.

Enjoy them as they are still God's creatures with a human twist. I try to make a point to avoid hybrids... flowerhorns are beautiful but id have to again on principle avoid them. Just a personal choice.

Yes it is possible to spawn them with regular german blue rams.

I really do not mind fish like this or hybrids for that matter. My only concern is that the original species be preserved.

We can all act elitist about these type of things but the truth to the matter is most of us knowingly or not have owned a species of fish that have been bred for certain traits.
