Are they blue

I have 2 of these guys i was told they are blues is this true???

They look like Opaline Gourami's. Trichogaster trichopterus(scientific name) relates to Opalin, Gold, and Blue Gourami's as they are the same fish except different Color Morphs I believe.

So people keep saying ..i wish i had been told at the pet shop before i got them, Don't wan the beta coming to any harm......they are big bullys the 2 of them to the Danios always chasing them

They are just very large robust Bettas. Although you can keep them together(male wise) doesnt mean nothing. They can turn very easily on teir tank mates.

drake...I wish you would stop taking wild guesses all over the place.
We can all appreciate that you are trying to help out, but giving misinformation is more of a hindrance in the end.

Besides, the question was already answered earlier---the gouramies pictured earlier in this thread are opaline gouramies. Yes, they are a color-morph of the three-spot gourami, but these ones clearly belong to the opaline group.

actually i looked it up. they said it had a silver coloration but the same markings. did Jericho die also?

opaline gouramis also tend to be nicer then some so maybe you will get lucky and the betta will be fine.
